Access and planning for dismantling in Blackpool
Settled before cutting starts in Blackpool:
- Wind off the Irish Sea. Wind limits and the area of the piece on the hook govern work on an exposed structure near the front, so cut sizes and a fallback date are fixed at booking.
- Getting to the cut and back down. Much of this work sits on structures and roofs, so the method names access equipment, edge protection, what holds each section as it is released, and rescue.
- What the plant held. Cleaning, purging and gas-free certification belong to the operator or a specialist it appoints, and several run for one shift, so the cutting order follows them.

Common questions
Can a hotel boiler house come out while rooms are let?
Yes. Your manager sets the hours and the route out, the area is screened, and a hot work permit with a fire watch covers the burning. Where the insurer puts burning aside, the plant is parted cold at bolts and flanges.
The only way out is across the promenade. Does that work?
Yes, with the arrangements made ahead of the day. Overhead tramway lines fix the clearance for the boom and the load, a crane position by the tracks needs an isolation, and sections are cut to sizes the route takes.
How is dismantling different from demolition?
Demolition takes a structure down and the value is in the cleared site. Dismantling takes plant apart in the reverse of the order it went up, so what comes off keeps its value as equipment, as parts, or as material worth more separated than mixed. The planning takes longer and the work is slower, and on the right job it pays for itself.
Who cleans and certifies the plant before cutting?
Cleaning, purging and gas-free certification sit with the site operator or a specialist, and the sequence is planned around those certificates. Several are valid for one shift only, so the cutting is arranged to match when they can be issued. We agree all of that at survey and write it into the programme.
