A steel frame erected with our own crane and erectors
We erected the steel frame for a student accommodation building on Union Street in Newcastle, working alongside the steel fabricator and the main contractors to line our work up with the delivery schedule.
We supplied our own 50te crane on an insured contract lift, MEWPs, tackle and a gang of steel erectors. We erected all the hot rolled and cold rolled steelwork, had it checked and signed off, and then left site.
The fabricator had one team for the crane and the erection, with deliveries lined up to our programme. We also carry out cladding and roofing packages, which keeps the next stage coordinated too.

Team
Our senior Appointed Person visited site and prepared the steel erection RAMS. We provided a lift supervisor and slinger signaller for the crane, and steel erectors holding CSCS gold cards and IPAF cards.
The Terex Demag AC 50-1 is a 50 tonne, three axle all-terrain crane with a 40m main boom, supplied with an operator for crane hire or as part of a contract lift.
