Access and planning for dismantling in Stockport

A buyer’s machine is handled no differently, and in the mills the crates are sized to pass the hoist.
Plant at its end of life turns on separation. Stainless is kept from carbon steel, and cable and non-ferrous go to their own containers, not the mixed skip. Material is cut to lengths that weigh cleanly. Point out at survey what you want back, and the programme takes those items down early, while the frame around them still holds.

Common questions
Can plant come out of a mill floor with other tenants still in the building?
Yes. Floor capacity and the route to the yard are settled at survey, we work inside a fenced area with the stair or hoist given to us, and heavier stages go outside their hours.
Our rooftop plant sits above a steep street. Can it be lifted down?
Usually. A slope decides where the crane can set up, how big the sections have to be and where the wagon stands to take them, so both positions are confirmed on site before dates are set.
How is dismantling different from demolition?
Demolition takes a structure down and the value is in the cleared site. Dismantling takes plant apart in the reverse of the order it went up, so what comes off keeps its value as equipment, as parts, or as material worth more separated than mixed. The planning takes longer and the work is slower, and on the right job it pays for itself.
Who cleans and certifies the plant before cutting?
Cleaning, purging and gas-free certification sit with the site operator or a specialist, and the sequence is planned around those certificates. Several are valid for one shift only, so the cutting is arranged to match when they can be issued. We agree all of that at survey and write it into the programme.
