Getting loads in and out. Most heavy loads use the M1 at junctions 24 to 26, with the A52, A60, A453 and the A6514 ring road around the city. We check low bridges, weight limits and Trent crossings before we quote.

Usually, yes. We find out where the cellar walls and supports run and what the floor above can carry, then set the skate route and jacking points to suit and spread the load with steel plates or mats.

Can you move equipment in a laboratory or clean area?

Yes. These moves are done on air skates or protected floor routes, with the final position measured and checked before handover. Access, gowning, cleaning and the order of work are agreed with your facility first.

Who disconnects and reconnects the machine?

Mechanical disconnection and making safe is usually ours, and we position the machine precisely enough for commissioning. Electrical and control reconnection is coordinated with your own engineers or the machine manufacturer, and who covers what is agreed at survey stage.

Can you move a machine that has broken down?
