Common questions
Can you put new equipment into a working freezer?
Yes. We agree door times with you, stage everything outside so the door opens briefly, and check the insulated floor before skates go on it. An oversized unit can sometimes come in through a wall panel that is taken out and refitted.
Can you change a transformer in a wind service building?
Yes. Where there is room the new unit goes in beside the old one to keep the outage short, and the old unit leaves by the same route. Send the outage window and photos of the switchroom door.
How much headroom do you need?
Less than most people expect, but it decides the method. What counts is the gap between the top of the item and the lowest obstruction on the route once the item is on the equipment. Where it is tight we use a low-headroom gantry or jacks and lift in smaller steps.
Will you damage our floor?
Not if the route is prepared, and that preparation is part of the price. We spread the load with mats or tracks where the slab needs it, protect finished surfaces, and agree beforehand what gets covered and what gets made good.
