Common questions

Our new unit has dock-height doors only. How do the machines get in?

Many newer buildings around Houghton Regis and Dunstable are built that way. We look for a level door elsewhere in the elevation, and when the building has only the dock, the machine is craned off the trailer. The survey settles it early.

Our move crosses from Luton into Central Bedfordshire. Who arranges the road work?

We do, at both ends. Luton Borough Council covers the town and Central Bedfordshire covers Dunstable, Houghton Regis and Toddington, so each permit goes to the authority owning that stretch, timed to the loading sequence.

Can we keep producing while we move?

In most cases, yes, for part of the plant. We move the lines you can spare first and get them running at the new site, then bring the rest across. It means more visits, and it keeps output going while the move is under way. We tell you at survey which parts can overlap.

How are disconnection and recommissioning handled?
